Tickets to this ‘roarsome’ family experience are FREE but are allocated on a first come first served basis from www.dorsetcountymuseum.org

“Dippy’s visit to Dorset is a once in lifetime opportunity and only made possible by the generous support of the Garfield Weston Foundation who, like the Natural History Museum, are hoping to inspire a new generation of budding scientists and naturalists” says Museum Director Jon Murden.

Opening to the public on the 10th February, Dippy will stay on display until 8th May 2018 at which point he will leave and head off to Birmingham on the next stage of his National tour.

In addition to seeing Dippy, visitors are welcome to visit the Museum’s permanent Jurassic Coast Gallery featuring some of the world’s rarest fossils and some of the other exhibition spaces that house many of Dorset’s cultural and historic hidden gems.

Dr Sam Rose, Chief Executive of the Jurassic Coast Trust says “With the Jurassic Coast just a few miles away, visitors can also explore places where we can see fossil footprints of dinosaurs like Dippy, and find out about the other incredible animals that lived in what is now Dorset but around 155 million years ago”. The Trust have, with the County Museum, been instrumental in bringing Dippy to Dorset for his first stop on tour, for further information about England’s natural World Heritage Site, visit jurassiccoast.org.”
